It’s been a while since I wrote in this section-the All Stars is what I call it..simply because whoever I feature in this section is a star whether behind the camera or in front of it.
If like me, you’re looking back on the year past-thinking of the resolutions you did keep (a few I did manage to keep) and the ones you didn’t (more for me than I am happy admitting) then this blog post is just for you. Time Magazine, incidentally has a list of Most Commonly Broken New Year resolutions. No surprises to find that “Loose Weight and Get Fit” is right on top of that list. 🙂
So that brings me to this blog post. Lately I had the pleasure of meeting this most interesting lady called Ramona Braganza. Now Ramona is a A list trainer to the Hollywood stars-she has trained Jessica Alba for more than 12 years. She has also trained Halle Berry, Kate Beckinsale, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendez, Zac Efron, Ryan Reynolds, Tom Welling, Michael Weatherly, and also the entire cast of the movie “The A Team” – Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson. Phew! 🙂
Now if like me, you are fascinated and intrigued with this impressive list of star names, here’s a bit more about Ramona. She is of Indian origin and born and brought up abroad. She is 52 but looks at least 20 years younger and with the body of a 25 year old! She has been a internationally renowned fitness expert and celebrity trainer who is known for the 3-2-1 method of training. Meeting her was a pleasure-not only is she full of positive energy and joie de vivre, her passion for her craft makes you realise why she is so well loved by her clients.
The 3-2-1 method not all refers to the Training method that she is known for (to get the full essence of it-you have to read her book-there’s no way to compress it into my mini-review) but also to the 3-2-1 countdown of practical tips and motivational tools which will help you get started.
I for one, loved the simple chart and methods right in the first few chapters of the book which will help you get moving and start off in the right direction. And I also specially loved the ending chapters which point out the strong mind-body connection and the necessity to balance both to reach complete wellness.
With Ramona, spending more and more time in India, just in case you missed reading about her in Vogue (she was voted as Vogue’s Beauty Fitness Expert of the Year) or missed reading about her or hearing her on air in her flood of appearances across India to promote her book, you can catch her in Goa in March (more details on that in this space later) or at Fortis Hospitals promoting her Baby Bulge Be Gone program.
For more information on her take a look at her website or her Facebook page.
Do read her book-“Feel Fit Look Fantastic in 3-2-1” and write in and tell me what you think 🙂
